With over 40 years of Christian service, Thom is actively engaged in the spiritual journey of countless men across geographies, age, and life stage.
His passion is to help men connect theological truths to the day-to-day challenges they face by removing the barriers that prevent men from living full and engaged spiritual lives.
By beginning where each person is at and pointing The Way Forward, Thom works to help men find reconciliation and oneness with God and others through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thom upholds the demands of absolute responsibility before God while always reminding of the promise of absolute forgiveness through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Men of God are called to lives of both public and private integrity with the goal to finish well and glorify God in all things.
Thom is retired faculty and has served for the past several years in both full-time and adjunct appointments at several academic institutions. His professional and teaching expertise has focused on healthcare operations, management, and leadership with a emphasis on international healthcare delivery.
Prior to his academic appointments Thom worked in the marketplace for religious based, for-profit, and not-for-profit healthcare delivery systems in progressive leadership roles. Thom received both a doctorate in health administration and a master’s in health administration from Central Michigan University. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Wayne State University.
In addition to spiritual directing, Thom is a published author, conference speaker, and executive coach. He is an active member at Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Dallas, Texas where he leads the Men’s Care Ministry. After multiple career moves Thom and his wife of 40+ years appear to have landed in their final destination and are firmly planted in the great state of Texas.
